Day at the Pumpkin Patch and Cider Mill.

Pumpkin drum!

He kept trying to pick up what he thought was a big orange ball.

Our First Hay Ride!

This baby pig was my favorite!

Dominic loved watching the animals!

We got to see how apple cider was made. My friend Karen, Dominic and I ate fresh donuts made as we watched and drank hot apple cider! Yummy!

He loved playing in the bales of hay!

Keeping warm at the bonfire!
What a great day!

Our Lil' Bathtub Trout!

I could not resist to post these pictures of Dominic's "Fin Hairstyle!"

Having Fun!

Hey Mommy look at me!

Ok... that's enough now Mommy your'e making me shy!

Afternoon Hike!

Three weeks ago we decided to take an easy nature hike with Dominic and Cassius one gorgeous Saturday. It was so nice to be in the wild outdoors just at the beginning of Fall my favourtie time of the year! We saw Spiders, butterflys and a huge hawk on our walk and Dominic was none the less intrigued by the surroundings! It was still very green then and the temperature was just perfect!

Demolition Baby!

I was spending some time with Dominic one afternoon and trying to teach him how to build things with blocks. Being the absolutle boy that he is, he found that it was much more fun to knock them down than to build...enjoy!

Saturday Evening Picnic

Last Saturday Jon and I decided to spend the evening at a huge park that we used to go to often before Dominic was born. Up beyond the lake there is a hollow with a fishing pond and our very own island that we could picnic on. Days gone by we would take Cassius (our pet dog) and set out a blanket and pack our lunch or dinner and enjoy the outdoor air while it's still warm!

This time was so special cause now it was the four of us. While Dominic played with his tiny soccer ball and huge baseball , Jon and I played a game of badminton without the net...Cassius sniffed around at all the deer trails and the muskrat sauntering on the other side of the pond. Which needless to say Jon dropped his racket and just had to go chasing that muskrat...sorry I did not get a picture of it!

This was some well needed outdoor time before the eminent cold weather hits. Hoping to do some more outdoors this month and with Dominic's new found feet there's so much more to explore!

1st Real Steps!

Dominic took his first sequence of steps just after his 1st birthday! Needless to say we were very proud!

Playin' Chac Chacs !

Here is a short video from our trip to Trinidad in July. Dominic loves music and I thought it would be great to purchase a pair of personalised chac chacs from a local craftsman on Maracas beach. At 11 months old he's already a parang pro!

Our Busy Boy!

Dominic is almost 14 months old and he is a very busy boy. Walking everywhere and kicking and throwing his soccer ball. He has an amazing vocabulary for his age...saying phrases and not just single words.
The expressions that go with these phrases are priceless saying things like the emphatic " I'm Done!" when he's finished a meal. "What's that?" and "where's Da?" (Da - is Dad) are everyday ones.
Even pronouncing words when asked like cheese and balloon.
He tells our Dog "Cashi get down!" pointing his finger and making a serious little face!
What a joyous stage!
His understanding is astounding and so is his strong willed personality for some restrictions.
He has such a sense of humour if only I could capture most of the moments of his funny faces and comical antics!!
Hope to get short videos on here eventually!
He thinks that he is such a big boy and wants to feed himself his meals with his own fork and his attempts are quite impressive!
He is finally completely weaned as of last week, so now the most I get is a 10 second hug and a pat on the back before bedtime! They grow up way to quickly!
We want to enjoy every stage with him and cherish every moment as it is more evident than ever that time does not stand still!
