Growing Boys

My how time has been flying...I just can't seem to keep up! Two growing boys can definitely keep you busy. Wanted to post a few pics from over the last five months.

Dominic is a happy 2 1/2 year old that is as sassy as can be. He can sing his ABC's along with many other songs that he picks up after hearing a couple times. He loves painting, helping Mommy bake, soccer, reading...let's just say he LOVES LIFE! He is a wonderful big brother with a gentle spirit. He is very determined and quick witted which gets him in to trouble at times but is always so thoughtful and caring of other's feelings. He is in the stages of potty training and has been gradually since he turned two but is now officially in pull ups. I can't believe how big he is already!

Shane is a sweet happy baby (5 mths old) with a fiery personality. Don't get him mad though or he'll punch you out! In the 90% for height but tottering in the 10% for weight has taken after my brothers but looks like his Daddy completely! He loves when I read to him and has an amazing little singing voice! He is a great listener but when he starts talking the whole neighbourhood can hear him. He loves to laugh and is now enjoying rice cereal and oatmeal. He seems to be a Mommy's Boy...I'm loving every minute of it cause I know it won't last!

Life feels so complete with these two Angels...we are so blessed to have them and observe their uniqueness. Hope you enjoy the pics! We miss you all!

Welcome baby Shane Titus

Our wonderful bundle is finally here. I can't believe that he is almost 4 weeks old already. After a scheduled c-section he arrived on Friday Sept 12th, 2008 at 12:56pm weighing 7 lbs and 6 ozs and 20 in long. He is doing great , thriving and gaining weight. A visual contrast to his big brother at birth, Shane has strawberry blonde hair, with his daddy's complexion with very blonde eyebrows and lashes. He is amazingly aware and lifts his head and looks around him. He is a mini version of his Daddy!

I am doing great and recovering dramatically fast from the surgery and have actually found the procedure to be considerably easier than my delivery with Dominic. Dominic is absolutely elated about his baby brother and is most proud of him..showing him off to everyone he meets and telling them his name! This is my first week at home alone with the boys and we are doing great...Dominic is becoming a wonderful little helper and has gone back perfectly to his regular schedule. It was great to have my Mom stay with me for 2 1/2 weeks and Jon's Mom the first 5 days from delivery. I can't believe I'm a Mom of two boys!

We are excited about our new family of four and hope that you enjoy the pictures!

Finally...A new Post!

Hi Everyone,

Where do I start. It has been so long since I posted anything and so much has transpired since!

Well to those of you who do not know Jon and I are expecting baby # 2 next Friday. Friday Sept 12th! We are having another boy and his name will be Shane Titus Preiser. Shane means "God is Gracious" and Titus means "Giant and Hero".

We are very excited about our upcoming addition and have been working to get things ready. We finished our sub-basement which has given us two small storage rooms, a laundry area, a large utility cabinet and a tv room. Thankfully Jon was able to do it all so we just had to scrounge for the material costs!

Dominic is very excited for his new baby Brother who he calls by name..not sure he knows that he won't stay tucked away in mommy's tummy forever! I am feeling very huge and tired lately but in good spirits. I was very sick for the first 16 weeks of this pregnancy...it was awful, especially with the harsh winter we had! I was hospitalised for a few hrs for dehydration and vomiting like with Dom. That stage did eventually pass and I made a trip to Vancouver, Calgary and Bonneyville ( 3 hrs from Edmonton)...just Dom and me. I was in my 5th month of pregnancy and managed to endure a gruelling scheduled of 6 flights and 14 hrs of driving. It was wonderful to see all my immediate family...we were gone three weeks in all. Jon stayed home to keep things afloat..poor guy...it was so good of him to give me that trip.

This pregnancy has surely flown by so much faster than with Dom. A toddler can really keep you busy.

Dominic is a very happy and energetic little guy! He has a very sensitive nature and the vocabulary of a least a three year old. He can sing a few songs and even quote some bible scripture already. He never ceases to amaze us and we are excited that he will have a playmate here soon!

I will post some pics of what you have missed over the months and will try to create a new post after the baby is born. Please leave your comments and questions, would love to hear from all of you.

Miss & love you all!

Happy New Year

Our neigbour had a New Years Eve party that we went to for a few hours that night. We were supposed to dress like it was 1978 -Grease /Disco Era...check out Dominic's slick back hairdoo!

Disco king and Disco prince!

2007 was a great year. We have watched many miracles this year and are thankful for God's continued provision and protection. It was good to go home at 10:30pm and put Dominic to bed and enter the new year with thanksgiving and prayer, excited for what God will do in the year ahead!

Here's a glimse of our decorated living room this christmas gone. I was quite upset last week when I discovered that I had lost all the pics that we had taken of Dominic and the rest of us on christmas day. Somehow they never saved to my computer..lots of cool videos and pics gone. Will have to make up for it next year!

Here's Dominic's new snow suit that he got just before christmas. We put him in it when we went to deliver christmas cookies that I made for our neigbours!!

Think this was our first snow for the winter!

Daddy keeping Dominic entertained with a game boy at uncle Colin's house in Iowa! Look at his face...hilarious!

Taking a walk with Mommy just before the real cold weather hit!

His First Real Owwee !

It's been a while since my last post...sorry to all of you that have been looking and waiting for something new.

Dominic had a scary accident on thanksgiving while visiting Uncle Colin in Iowa.Ten minutes before eating our thanksgiving meal, unaware to us, he was looking at an electric wood burning stove stepped up on the platform and fell forward grabbing the stove to catch his fall. He got second degree burns to both hands with blisters from finger tips to palms. The blisters in the palms were about the size of small eggs...it was horrible to look at and very painful but it could have been so much worse! God is good..it has all healed very well with no scaring...he had to leave his bandages on for almost three weeks!

Day at the Pumpkin Patch and Cider Mill.

Pumpkin drum!

He kept trying to pick up what he thought was a big orange ball.

Our First Hay Ride!

This baby pig was my favorite!

Dominic loved watching the animals!

We got to see how apple cider was made. My friend Karen, Dominic and I ate fresh donuts made as we watched and drank hot apple cider! Yummy!

He loved playing in the bales of hay!

Keeping warm at the bonfire!
What a great day!
